For those of you that visit Y Spa on a regular basis you may already know our Senior Spa Therapist, Alice. We spent the day with Alice to find out more about a typical day working at Y Spa.
Typical day
I arrive on most days around 8.45am and I open up all the rooms, including the manicure and pedicure room. Then I check the massage schedule to make sure they are split evenly between our spa therapists and check the schedule for any special occasions such as birthdays so that we can make those guests feel extra special. When the team arrive I greet them and ensure that they know what is planned in for the day and then I go to my room to set it up for treatments in time for my first client.
During the day, as I am trained in all the treatments apart from reflexology, I usually have quite a variety of treatments to do which I really enjoy. After each treatment we write a prescription form for our guests explaining the treatment they had and what products we used and we give this out in a pack when they leave. My lunch is usually between 1pm-2pm and then my last client is usually at 5.30pm.
