I’ve been with Wyboston Lakes since April 2018. As Sales Director I am responsible for the conference & training, branded space and serviced offices sales strategies. Prior to this I spent 7 years with Compass Group, originally as Head of Sales & Marketing at Yarnfield Park, and latterly across a portfolio of large residential conference venues. I spent nearly a decade with the NEC Group, across a variety of roles, including being Senior Account Director and Head of Conference Sales at The International Convention Centre.

I have worked in the events industry for the past 18 years covering all areas from operations to event management and sales. It is 5 years since I joined the team at Wyboston Lakes as Business Development Manager. I am primarily responsible for our relationships with agents and also the association, professional services and automotive sectors. I have worked at Wyboston Lakes for 10 years and have built a wealth of knowledge about the venues and the teams in them. It’s been very exciting to see the many positive changes and refurbishments over the time to accommodate the changing requirements of our delegates and guests. I’ve worked with many different clients over this time from small one day meetings to large events spanning over a month, and taken pleasure in working with them all to fulfil all of their requests. I fell into the hospitality industry through my parents in the late 90’s and never looked back. Starting out as a silver service waiter for Hilton before I completed a 5-year hotel graduate program through Marriott Hotels. Shortly after completing that I moved abroad for 8 years to work for Princess Cruises where I progressed up to the role of Snr Administration Officer. In 2012 I came back to the UK and started working for Wyboston Lakes. I have overseen the development of the two conference centres as General Manager for the past 3 years. In 2019 I also joined IACC’s European board.

Coming from a family that have worked in the hospitality and leisure industry it is always an area that I have been passionate about. I started working as a waitress in a hotel whilst getting my degree and when graduated, was lucky enough to work abroad for a number of years across different regions of Europe. When coming home I worked my way up to Front of House Manager for an independent hotel in an amazing Grade 2 listed building in Stafford. After moving south I stuck with the leisure industry and developed my way up to Head of Food and Beverage. I joined the Wyboston family in March 2022 and have not looked back since. I could not be happier to work with such a brilliant team.
