Olympic swimmer and Strictly Come Dancing star Mark Foster was the guest of honour at an exclusive restaurant relaunch at Wyboston Lakes on Wednesday evening (16^th March).

Mark attended the Strictly Come Dining event to celebrate the £700,000 refurbishment of the award-winning Waterfront Restaurant & Bar.

The former European, Commonwealth and world champion is no stranger toWybostonLakes: he trained at the venue's leisure centre for his appearances on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.

The five-time Olympian was joined by 50 VIP guests at the relaunch, including Councillor Jennifer Sarabia, Mayor of Huntingdon, and Councillor Gordon Thorpe, Mayor of St Neots.

"I had a brilliant time and it was great to go back toWybostonLakesand catch up with some familiar faces," said Mark.

"The restaurant looks terrific after the refurbishment, and the food was out of this world. It was a real pleasure to be invited and I hope I'll be back soon."

Formerly known as the Waterfront Brasserie, the AA Rosette Waterfront Restaurant & Bar has undergone extensive restyling and now boasts a spacious bar area, new sound and lighting systems, new flooring, a private dining room and new furnishings.  The 90-seat restaurant has also been redecorated throughout.

Set beside a lake in 350 acres of rural countryside, the Waterfront Restaurant & Bar offers modern English and European dining with a contemporary feel.

The venue, which is located on the Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire border just minutes from the A1, is overseen by Restaurant Manager Rickie Kitt and the menus are designed and created by Restaurant Chef Leigh Morris.
